Mr. Karpouzis was born in Athens in 1978. He obtained his medical degree from Medical School of the University of Ioannina in Greece.
He completed his compulsory military service at the Naval Hospital of Crete in Chania , where he was at the same time trained in General Surgery.
He moved after that to the UK , where he got fully trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He worked througout his training, at some of the busiest Hospitals in London (St Thomas Hospital, Newham University Hospital, South London Healthcare NHSTrust, King’s College Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, UCL),at an SHO, Registrar, Senior Registrar and Consultant Level
He subspesialized in Reproductive medicine/Inferility and minimalaccess surgery.
He spent 2 years of training in assisted conception and infertility at Homerton Hospital Fertility Center at a Clinical Fellow and Senior Clinical Fellow Level(Consultant Level).
He obtained his Membership at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2011(MRCOG)
He is certified by the British Fertility Society for embryo transfers , assisted Conception and Fertility(BFS)
He is also certified by the British Society of Colposcopies and Cervical Pathology for Colposcopies(BSCCP). He was accredited the European Inter University Diploma of invasive endoscopic surgery (DIUE), by the University of Clermont Ferrand in France. He has participated and presented in many domestic and international congresses and courses.
He has seven years of full time experience in the field of assisted conception /infertility in the UK and Greece.
Since 2013, he has been working in the private sector in Athens, as an Obs and Gyn Consultant and Minimal Access Surgeon with special interest in Reproductive Medicine
