He was born and raised in Athens.

He studied at the Athens College of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation, graduating in 1994 summa cum laude.

He sat for the university-entry exams and got into the Faculty of Medicine, University of Athens, graduating in 2002 magna cum laude.

He did his rural medical service in 2004 at the General Hospital of Syros and the Medical Center of Paros, while in 2006, he received his specialty in Surgery at the General Hospital of Lefkada.

From 2008 to 2012, he completed his residency in Obstetrical Gynecology at the 2nd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, Aretaieio University Hospital of Athens. Aretaieio Hospital is a University Hospital that has trained thousands of Medicine students. The 2nd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic is an accredited European Training Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the European Board & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG), providing excellent training to doctors in all Obstetrics and Gynecology subspecialties, such as:

  • Infertility / Assisted Reproduction
  • Laparoscopic / Hysteroscopic Surgery
  • Gynecologic Oncology / Colposcopy
  • Urogynecology
  • High-Risk Pregnancies

During his residency, he was in charge of the training of the Athens Faculty of Medicine students.

He has received a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Montpellier, France.

He completed six-month training in Obstetrical/Gynecologic Ultrasounds at the Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound Department, 2nd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, Aretaieio University Hospital.

He is an Assisted Reproduction specialist and a scientific associate of the IASO Institute of Life Assisted Reproduction Unit.

In 2018, he received his PhD (summa cum laude), from the University of Athens Faculty of Medicine. His doctoral thesis was on: « Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) as a prognostic factor in achieving pregnancy through IVF programs. »
