EBEA Innovation & Technological Advancement Award

Innovation & Technological Advancement Award for IASO Institute of Life!

IASO Institute of Life received the Research, Innovation & Technological Advancement Award for its Maternal Spindle Transfer clinical study.

Our scientific team has a keen interest in the area of research for implementing new medical protocols for Medically Assisted Reproduction.

In April 2019, the first ever baby was born using the maternal spindle transfer method. It was a clinical study that was performed for the first time globally by the Institute of Life and Embryotools in our lab in Greece. Spindle transfer offers women with repeated IVF failures due to cytoplasmic defects of the oocytes or rare mitochondrial genetic diseases the chance to have healthy children. The inalienable right of every woman to become a mother from her own genetic material becomes a reality for the first time at a global medical level.

As one of the largest and most advanced assisted reproduction centers in Europe, we use state-of-the-art technology and apply innovative treatments and techniques, so as to make couples who place their trust in us feel secure.
